TG Downloader is a personal media-saving tool. This page explains what the extension does, what it deliberately does not do, and how rights holders can reach us.
1. What the extension does
TG Downloader adds download controls to media that is already visible in your own logged-in Telegram Web session — the same content you can view and play in your browser. It saves that media to your computer for personal, offline use.
2. What the extension does not do
- It does not bypass logins, passwords, paywalls, or access controls.
- It does not grant access to any chat, group, or channel your account is not already a member of.
- It does not scrape, crawl, or bulk-harvest content from accounts other than your own session.
- It does not host, index, re-upload, or distribute any downloaded content. Files go only to your own device.
3. Your responsibilities
Content you can view is not necessarily content you may copy or share. By using TG Downloader you agree to:
- Download media for personal use only.
- Not download, reproduce, or redistribute copyrighted content without permission from the rights holder.
- Comply with Telegram's Terms of Service and the laws of your jurisdiction.
You are solely responsible for how you use downloaded content.
4. Reporting copyright infringement
TG Downloader does not host user content, so there is nothing on our servers to take down. However, if you believe our software or website is being used to infringe your rights, or you have concerns about our marketing or documentation, email support@tgvideodownloader.online with the subject line “Copyright”. Include a description of the work, your contact details, and the basis of your claim. We review every report and respond within 5 business days.
5. Repeat-abuse policy
We may suspend or terminate Pro accounts that we reasonably believe are using the extension for infringement or other unlawful purposes, as described in our Terms of Service.
