How do I download videos from a Telegram channel?

Does it matter whether the Telegram channel is public or private?

The third row is the source of most confusion. A public post has an address Telegram serves to anyone, so a remote server can fetch it. A private channel has no such address — its media is delivered only into an authenticated member's session, so there is nothing for an outside server to request. Common questions

Can I download from a channel I have not joined? Only if it is public. For private channels, membership is the requirement — there is no tool that changes this.

Will the channel owner know? No. Telegram sends no download notifications.

Does leaving the channel remove my saved files? No. Files on your disk are yours to keep; you simply lose access to save anything further.

What about channels with thousands of videos? Work in chunks. Very large batches are slower and more failure-prone than several smaller passes.
